Do you want to serve as part of our South Team of volunteers?
Most of us want to make a difference in this world. We want to make an impact on our communities and be a part of something bigger than ourselves. God has gifted each one of us with a unique set of skills & talents. Jesus himself said that He did not come to be served, but to serve others. When you make an eternal investment by volunteering your time & talent at your local church, you will discover the key to unlocking a life of influence & change.
1 Peter 4:10: “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms”.
There are a multitude of areas where you can use these gifts to serve your church family here at South Nashville Church. We are including descriptions of the South Teams below for your reference. Please keep in mind that some teams do require church membership, background checks, and/or may have training & skill requirements.

Kidz Church: K thru 6th Grades
Do you love kids? Do you enjoy being around them and watching them grow? Come join the most exciting and adventurous ministry you can imagine. This is not your normal children’s church- be a part of a team that impacts the lives of kids for Christ in a way that will change them and you forever!
Youth Culture
AYS is the dynamic youth ministry of the South Nashville Church. Culturally diverse and spiritually charged, it is a place where young people from every race, color, and creed can come find the destiny and purpose God has for their lives. AYS meetings are filled with worship, prayer, laughter, and dramatic production as students learn to serve God, grow in their faith, and make a difference in the community.
Marriage Ministry Team
Marriage Mentoring volunteers will assist in various areas; helping to establish, strengthen and maintain healthy, loving, Christ-centered Marriages here at South Nashville. Areas of service include – Administrative Assistants; Mentors; Group Leaders; Marriage Coordinators; Photographers; Caterers; Cake Designers; Soloists; Chauffeurs.
South Outreach
South Outreach creates strategic partnerships with Nashville organizations in the trenches helping the broken and bruised of our city. There are many opportunities to get involved, make a difference, and minister “Unto the Least” of These. These outreach opportunities include …..
Prayer Team
This team will assist during the prayer altar time by praying in agreement with the word of God for those who come forward during the services. The team also serves as intercessors for the South Nashville Pastors, members, guests, and prayer requests via phone and the web throughout the week.
Fresh Start Ministry
This ministry is designed to encourage and support those who have made a decision to follow Christ for the first time or those who have chosen to recommit their lives back to Christ during one of our worship services. Our goal is to provide the resources that are available to help those who are making this “fresh start” in life, to walk out their decision and build a relationship with God.
Usher Team
Serve our body in one of the most exciting areas of ministry. You will play a key role in helping to facilitate the services. You will also be involved in pre-service preparation.
Praise & Worship Team
This dynamic group of praisers lead worship on Sabbath mornings for all services and Wednesday nights. Rehearsals are also on Wednesday nights.
Technology Team
This group of technologists will assist with the development, support, and maintenance of key South Nashville Church systems and applications used to advance the kingdom of God. The team will work with the Chief Operating Officer on projects.
Video Production
The Video team produces high quality video images for a variety of uses such as IMAG (Image Magnification Screens), Web podcasting, DVD sermon series, TV Programs and other videos shown during the services. Attends pre-production meeting with the Service Coordinator prior to the service.
Audio Production
Produces high quality audio for a variety of applications during services and special events. Attends pre-production meeting with the Service Coordinator prior to the service.
Presentation
By using the computers, switchers, time clock and projectors, this team follows the Speaker and Praise & Worship Leader and applies the appropriate visual presentations. Attends pre-production meeting with the Service Coordinator prior to the service.
